Introduction
This workshop is packed chock-full with the information, the knowledge and the hands-on experience you need to sell your work. If you are just starting, this is the course you need to get all the information before you make costly and time-consuming mistakes. If you are already selling your work, and want to either increase your income, or fix problems that surfaced since you started, this is the perfect opportunity to learn how someone who has been making an income from the sale of his work for over 10 years is doing it, and doing it successfully.
Below are several lists of questions we will be answering during the seminar as well as several lists of topics we will be covering. As you read these lists ask yourself if you know the answer to these questions or if you know everything that I am presenting below. If you don't, then keep in mind that your competitors -- the good ones that is, the ones that are doing well-- have this knowledge. If you do not have knowledge equal to theirs, and preferably greater than theirs, then you will not be successful when competing with them. In other words, you will not be putting the best chances on your side. You will be starting with a handicap, or with one hand tied behind your back, depending on how you prefer to put it. Also keep in mind that in business not being successful means losing money.
The solution to this problem is to raise your knowledge of marketing and salesmanship to the level of your competitors and preferably higher than theirs so you go from being at a disadvantage to being at an advantage and in a position of strength. How do you do this? Simply by attending this seminar. Yes, there is a cost for attending and in that sense it may be easier, or less costly, to not attend. But think about it this way: the cost is $975. How fast can you make an extra $975 (actually less if you already have the Marketing CD because we give you a discount) if you sell your work efficiently? The answer is, it may take just one sale. It may take several, but I am confident that by using the knowledge presented in this seminar you will not only recoup your investment but make a much better income than if you did not attend, provided you implement the solutions that I offer during the seminar.
On the other hand, if you do not attend, how much money will you be losing that you could have otherwise earned? The answer is that you will never know. However, I do know. And what I know is that if I did not have the knowledge I present in this seminar --knowledge that I use when selling my work-- I would not even be close to being as successful as I am. In my view, and I have a long experience in this regards, this knowledge is essential to being successful selling your work.
One more thing. I had to hire private marketing consultants at a much higher rate than what I am charging in this seminar to learn what I am going to teach you. I also had to spent years, literally, to learn the knowledge I am going to give you in 2 days. In my view, time is my most precious commodity. It is the one commodity that I cannot make more of. I can buy just about everything but I cannot buy myself more time. Granted, the Beatles told me that I Can't buy me Love and I believe them but that is sort of besides the point. The point is that you cannot buy yourself more time. All you have and all you'll ever get is 24 hrs in a day. You may be the richest or the poorest person on the face of the planet and you still both have exactly 24hrs in a day. The difference between these two persons is not how much time they have. The difference is how they use their time. Personally, if someone told me that I can get the essential knowledge I need to sell my work in 2 days for $975 I would say "where do I sign up?" I would say that because to me this is a huge saving in time. It is also a huge saving in money compared to what I had to spend to acquire this knowledge. I literally spent tens of thousands of dollars paying others to teach me their marketing knowledge, far more than the fee for this workshop.
Anyway, below is the list of subjects covered in the seminar so you can see for yourself whether this seminar offers something you do not already know, or whether you already know everything I will be teaching:

- A live role-playing opportunity is included in the seminar at no extra cost. This role playing opportunity is done in an actual selling situation, with Natalie and I first playing the part of the artists and the participants playing the part of the customers. After you become comfortable with this situation, and learn how to handle a live sales situation, answer stalls and objections and close a sale, the roles are reversed and you play the role of the artist while Natalie and I play the role of the customer. You do not have to participate if you are uncomfortable doing so. You can simply sit back and watch if you prefer. Either way you will learn an enormous amount about how to sell your work in a real-life situation. For many of our Marketing Mastery Seminar participants this is one of the most valuable aspects of the seminar.
What's next?
If you are not sure yet if this workshop is for you, read the information below, or call us to find out answers to questions that I am not addressing here. Your photography is important to us and Natalie and I can help you avoid the major mistakes most photographers make when they decide to sell their work. I personally made all these mistakes myself and I wasted a lot of my time and money in the process. By attending this seminar you can learn right away what took me 23 years to learn and save yourself a lot of money and headaches (or heart-aches!). This workshop is a lifetime of knowledge given to you in only two days. These will be the best two days you ever spent. Years from now you'll look back and think: "I'm glad I didn't pass up on this. I wouldn't be where I am now if I had not attended this class!"
You don't have to go to "the school of hard knocks" the way I did. Instead you can "pick my brains" and save yourself time, money and agravation!
Cost
$975 only per person. If you attend two Trilogy seminars, you receive $100 off the combined fees. If you attend all three Trilogy seminars, you receive $200 off the combined fees. The three Trilogy Seminars are designed to work together. You can spend the time in between the seminars photographing in Arizona.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. A receipt will be mailed to you the day after your registration has been processed. You can charge the registration fee in one instalment or in 3 equal installments placed to your card a month apart starting when you register. Just let us know your preference when you sign up.
Seminar location & dates
The seminar is held at the Country Inn & Suites, in Phoenix Arizona, on February 21st and 22nd, 2009 . A discounted room rate is available to all Trilogy Seminars participants. The surrounding area is propitious for stunning photography and you can add stunning new images to your portfolio of images at the same time as you learn how to develop your personal style and your vision for new images. You cannot go wrong. This of this as the opportunity to grow your photography business in every way: by learning new skills, acquiring new knowledge and expanding your photographic portfolio. Think of it also as an opportunity to explore and photograph one of the most beautiful areas in the world.
What the workshop includes:
• Comprehensive instruction on how to start your photography business
• Detailed information on how to market your photography
• The most effective ways to market your photography based on Alain's lifetime of experience selling his work
• How to avoid the 10 mistakes nearly all photographers make when they sell their work
• How to set up a show booth in order to guarantee the most effective sales situation. Natalie and I will actually set up a show booth during the seminar, exactly the way we set it up for our shows. This setup brings us thousands of dollars in sales at each show.
• Role-playing by Alain and Natalie Briot. You will watch Natalie and I role play customer-artist exchanges as if we were selling at a show live. You will then have a chance to role play with us, either as artist or customer or both. There's no better way to train and practice.
• We will teach you how to answer the questions customers ask in such a way that you can turn questions into sales.
• We will teach you how to address stalls, objections and other interruptions in the buying process so that you can turn these into actual sales instead of watching customers walk away saying "we'll be back".
• We will teach you how to close the sale, the most difficult aspect of selling for most artists.
• We will teach you much more (to be revealed during the workshop) . . . .

The 4 Guarantees I offer You:
1 - I guarantee that you will not find the information shared in this seminar for free somewhere else.
I am asked regularly if the knowledge I share in the seminar for a fee is provided for free over the web or in other venues. The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT. Why? Simply because the leverage you gain from following my marketing system is based on having access to knowledge that not every photographer has, knowledge that is not widely disseminated. It is also based on approaching photography marketing on the basis of my specific approach. While I cannot guarantee that you will generate a specific income from following my approach, because there are many variables in play that are out of my control, I can say that this approach will not be revealed for free or for a "bargain shopper" fee. I can also say that if you implement my system step by step you will be making a better income than if you don't do what I say.
2 - I guarantee that my Marketing CD features entirely different information than what is revealed and taught during the Marketing Seminar.
The Marketing CD also features older information, while the Seminar features my latest approach and findings. The Marketing CD in a good introductory teaching tool which is best used to prepare for the seminar. However, it does not replace this seminar.
3 - I guarantee that if a DVD or CD version of this seminar is created, the price of this DVD tutorial will be comparable to that of the Marketing Seminar.
That is, this Marketing Seminar on DVD will not be sold for $75 for example. Instead, it will be sold at a price comparable to the seminar. This insures that once again only people willing to invest in their photographic careers, and in the quality and effectiveness of their marketing, will own this DVD. The price also means that only a limited number of photographers will have access to this knowledge.
5 - I guarantee that my consulting fee is and will remain priced at a higher level than the Marketing Seminar fee.
Currently this fee is $1750 per day or $300 per hour and it increses regularly. As such it is almost 4 times the cost of this 2 day seminar. This guarantees you that should you need personalized help and guidance for your business and your marketing, you will benefit from a consulting approach which is exclusive and which caters only to a few highly motivated individuals who not only see the value in my fees, but are also looking for help, knowledge and guidance offered on a very limited basis. I also guarantee that my consulting fee will increase proportionally to the increase in my Seminar fees.
Cancellation policy:
All monies are non-refundable. If you cancel participation in this seminar your registration fees may be transferred towards registration in another Beaux Arts Photography workshop under certain conditions.
